The Beak Update...
There is a lot happening at The Beak Children’s Centre during the summer school term.
Penguin’s is a new support group for pre-school children who have additional needs. The group takes place every Monday 9am-11am and every Thursday 9am-11am. Please note that booking is essential for these sessions. Please contact Cheryl at the Children’s Centre for further details.
Music Makers is a fun group that encourages musical expression using song, sound and movement. The sessions are for children from birth to five years every Tuesday 11.15am – 12.00. You don’t have to book in advance so just come along and meet new friends.
Is your child two years old? Does your child struggle with speech and language? To discuss a place for your child on our Little Talkers programme please contact Rebecca or Cheryl. Little Talkers is a targeted support group for children who may need additional help to develop their social communication or speech and language skills.
Are you out of work, looking to return to work or interested in learning something new? If so our Step to Success programme could be the step in the right direction for you. Our new project offers you the help and support to access training opportunities, gain confidence and support you through the process of looking for and gaining employment and overcoming any difficulties along the way. Confidential one-to-one support sessions are available now. Please contact Lisafor further details or to arrange your first step to success.
Do you need someone to off load your troubles to, or maybe just somebody who will listen to how you are feeling? If so our new counselling service maybe able to help. This service will be available every Tuesday starting on the 15th May free of charge. Please contact the Children’s Centre to book your appointment.
The Beak Children’s Centre Out of School Club still has places available. Breakfast club is run from 7.30am at a cost of £4.00 per child per session. After school club is now available up until 6pm at a discounted cost of £6.75 per child.
