Sensory Room

A Sensory Room is a place where chilren with additional needs can explore and develop their senses and skills.

A sensory room engages children to learn through play.  From following bright lights, shapes and patterns with their eyes, to pressing buttons to change colour or music, children will become interested in their environment.  The flexible functionality of the sensory room can also be used to calm and de-stress.  If you place a child with additional needs in a pleasant environment, where the distractions of the outside world are completely absent, present them with music and attention grabbing moving colours and shapes, add the ability to make dramatic things happen and you have the building blocks for real progress.

Our Sensory Room is available for all families to use free of charge, 8.30am-5.30pm, Monday - Friday
