The Open Understanding of Children with Additional Needs

TOUCAN is a support group for parents/carers of children with additional needs.  We meet once a month at The BEAK Children's Centre and creche facilities are available for those who wish to bring their children with them.  We aim to provide a network of friends for your children to play and socialise with and for parents/carers and families to take a moment for themselves safe in the knowledge that your children are enjoying time with their peers in a caring and safe environment.

We also provide informal education and advice for parents/carers and their families on a wide variety of topics.  From time to time we run short training courses and talks by guest speakers to aid understanding and give parents/carers the opportunity to seek answers to some of their questions.
