Home Learning Letter
Home learning in Foundation Stage
We are continually gathering information and evidence about your child’s achievements to add to their learning journey. We would like to thank those parents who have completed the home learning challenges, sent in proud moments and completed observations. It is important that we work in partnership with parents and carers in order to share and celebrate your child’s achievements. We also want to support you to ensure that your child meets their individual needs and support you in helping your child to work on things they find difficult. On occasions we will send out target slips for your child to let you know if there is anything that you can help your child with at home. Look out for these in children’s book bags. They will be on blue paper.
- Email- We now have an exciting and more convenient way for all those who find communicating through technology easier. You can send an email to share your child’s learning and interests. You can send a picture of your child with an explanation of what your child is doing or you can just email us with an observation of something significant that your child has done. We can then add your emails to your child’s learning journey to show the partnership between home and school.
Please send your email direct to your child’s class.
DON’T FORGET OTHER WAYS TO COMMUNICATE WITH US
- Proud parents – We want you to share what makes you feel proud. Look out for the box in the classroom to put the slips in.
- Observe your child and send us photographs and fill in the observation slips. They are available on the parents display outside each classroom.
- Home learning challenge- Children will bring home learning challenges. Please work with your child to complete these. Please bring the work back to school so we can share it and stick it in your child’s learning journey.
