  Eco Warriors

Eco-Warriors

There are 15 Eco-Warriors in our school. Each class in Year 1 and 2 votes for who they would like to be Eco-Warriors.

Eco-warriors meet every Tuesday dinnertime at 12.00 in Class 5 to talk about things that we can do in school to help look after our world.

We have worked hard to make everyone think more about taking care of our world. We remind everyone how important it is to save energy such as turning lights off when you go out of a room and not leaving things like TVs on standby. We also remind people how important it is to recycle instead of throwing away.

You will see our posters around school to help remind everyone not to waste energy, water and paper.

We have created a wildlife area at the front of school with a bird table, bat boxes and places for minibeasts to hide. We have also set up a bird-spotting area in the library.

If you have any ideas for our school just let one of the Eco-warriors know!

NEWS!

Eco-Warriors have been very busy around school ensuring we continue to save energy and resources.

Thank you again to everyone who completed a questionnaire. It has really helped the children think about being less wasteful. We hope you have been thinking about your target and would very much appreciate any photos or just a quick note to let us know how you are getting on with it!

Soon we are hoping to create an Eco-Warriors display and would like some of your feedback and photos to show how hard the Eco-Warriors have been working to raise awareness.
